Settled Status Advice Project

The EU Settled Status scheme opened fully in March 2019.

All EEA nationals and their family members will have to apply for settlement to ensure they can continue to access essential services (e.g. health, housing) and retain their ability to work after Brexit. This will also apply to other individuals and families who derive their rights from EEA legislation, such as Zambrano and Ibrahim/Teixeira carers.

The Public Interest Law Centre is part of a consortium led by Crisis, funded by the Home Office, to support vulnerable individuals and families to apply for settlement under the EU Settlement Scheme. 

How can we work together?

We work with grassroots and community organisations in London, running outreach advice clinics and assisting EEA homeless nationals with Settled and Pre-Settled Status applications.

We offer an end-to-end service, including:

  • Initial assessment
  • Practical & digital support
  • Help in obtaining ID
  • Support in gathering evidence of UK residence that may be necessary
  • Submitting application and follow up

We can offer appointments on an individual basis or organise legal clinics if there is wider interest. We work in various languages including Polish, Spanish and French. We can use interpreting where necessary.
