At the Public Interest law Centre our litigation work is assessed by its value to progressing human rights and social justice struggles of which we are a part and what we support.
Supporting grassroots campaigns and movements has led us to complement our legal work not only with litigation, but with communications / media to support grassroots the clients and organisations that we work.
Our clients, the legal action we undertake and our communications work are all part of wider struggle to popularise social justice.
With our clients and the grassroots campaigns we work with, we look to develop legal action and public education campaigns. We do this to help shape policy and legislation.
Through this joint working we look at ways to ensure the voices of our clients and grassroots campaigns are at the forefront. We consider those genuine voices to be central of the work we do.
