Ruth joined the Public Interest Law Centre following her work for Lambeth Law Centre’s Debt and Housing teams.

Prior to joining PILC, Ruth worked in a research capacity for a Magic Circle law firm and assisted with commercial pro bono projects during her time there. Ruth has also volunteered for a number of legal charities including the Cambodian Center for Human Rights, FRU (where she has appeared in the First-Tier Tribunal for benefit claimants) and Liberty. She is also a Senior Paralegal at Farore Law, a specialist law firm in cases involving discrimination, harassment, sexual abuse, and related mental health, where she works under the direction of Suzanne McKie QC.

To date, Ruth has assisted lawyers with various aspects of public law, including immigration bail applications and compensation claims against the Home Office, judicial reviews of planning decisions, research into the legal framework surrounding international arms exports, and drafting notes to counsel on various cases.

Ruth was Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2017 and is currently undertaking a Master’s Degree in Public Law at the London School of Economics.

Ruth has now secured employment at Farore Law.
